Best Pizza/Hot Dog Recs Please!
We are planning a trip to chicago and we wanted to know where is the best place to get a chicago pizza and also a chicago style hot dog? I figured I would ask someone from the area because you would know best! Thanks so much! I can't wait to visit!

Posted too soon...
As for pizza, this is a personal preference of Chicagoans, but you should try Lou Malnati's, Uno's, or Giordano's.
Will you have a car to drive around the city or are you staying downtown?
We love Hot Doug's on the NW side of Chicago

Or Superdawg

For pizza, we think the best is Lou's, the crust is the best!

Hot Doug's is awesome...been featured on tv too. Note that there is often long lines to eat there. But they might not be that long since it is not the summer. I went there for the first time in the summer and waited for like an hour outside. They have a ton of different types of hot dogs but have the classical Chicago style hot dog. On Fridays and Saturdays they also have duck fat fries if you are into that.
Uno's is okay and usually has a long line Due is also owned by Uno's but usually has a shorter line. You can see Due from Uno's and Due from Uno's. I personally like the sauce better at Due.
Have fun in Chicago!
Another vote for Hot Doug's or Superdawg.
I think Pequod's makes the best pizza in the city, and Food Network voted them in the top 10 in Illinois. It's deep dish with caramelized cheese crust and slightly spicy sauce. They have lunch special personal pizza and drink (either soda or Miller Lite) for $5. It does take a little longer than other places, but it's worth the wait!
Gene and Jude's is the best Chicago Style hot dog place to visit when in Chicago. They won the best hot dog award from Rachael Ray's magazine and have been featured in a number of other magazines for their dogs.
As pizza, I always take those from out of town to Lou Malnati's! I personally think they have the best deep dish pizza.
Pizza: Lous Malnati's (DeepDish)or Cali Ristorante (Thin Crust)
Hotdogs: Portillo's
