If you could move

anywhere in the North Florida area, where would you go?

Re: If you could move

  • If we could afford it, I'd love to get a huge old house in Riverside/Avondale/San Marco. Basically, I'm happy being in Jax.

Would you prefer to buy completely renovated or needing work?

Needing some work is okay. We like doing stuff & so does FIL, so that'd be nice.

  • Somewhere around the Julington Creek/Bartram area, which is the plan when we can sell our house in a couple years.

  • Since it looks like my mom will be moving to St Augustine early next year I would like to live close to her.

  • If I have to stay in NFL, I'd want a nice house on the intracoastal in the Ponte Vedra area.

  • I would move back across the bridge to Pace. I would love to buy some land in the Chumuckla area to build a house. The schools are great there also.

Whenever I hear anything about Pace, I think about the time in the early days of Road Rules (maybe even season 1) where they went to the nudist colony there.

Huh. There's a nudist colony there? Dollfin, do you know anything about that? I'm going to have to ask DH about this since he grew up in Pace.

  • Downtown St. Augustine or St. Augustine beach (but it would have to be close to the water). A third choice would be Avondale.

Interesting. I'll check out your links tonight.

  • For clarification, I would not be joining the Pace nudist colony. =)

Yep, it's on Guernsey.  The sign says "Naturist" Resort.  I remember seeing the Road Rules back then, but I didn't realize it was here until I lived here.  haha

  • A gorgeous brick house in the nice areas of San Marco, Riverside or Avondale.  Swoon.

  • Definitely Avondale. I love that area and plenty of the 'important' stores are within a few miles, whereas down here, everything is between 10 and 15 miles away. I love the trees up there and keeping up your lawn is a lot easier, since the oak trees make it nearly impossible to have a lawn.
  • Downtown Pensacola or the East Hill area. Downtown St. Augustine or St. Augustine beach. I could live in Seaside too or one of the other South Walton beaches.

  • A giant Mediterranean style house in Ponte Vedra Beach, a close second would be a bigger home in San Marco but DH doesn't love this area. Actually he would pick some house in the middle of the woods close to nothing.
