I was told that a student of mine who is a PITA moved out of the district. It made my week to hear this. Today I hear that they were considered homeless at the start of the school year and so they can stay here for the year and our district has to send a bus to pick them up. I really don't understand why this is the case. The other school district is just as good if not better than where I work - it's not like a city school vs. a rural school. Part of the problem is that I feel this kid is a special ed kid but his parents won't get him tested to get him the help that he needs. Because he's so lost, he often misbehaves. Of course this is in the class that I teach at the other school and I'm not there to help him outside of class.
Sigh.
I am freaking out with nerves today- we accepted a purchase offer on our house and the inspection is today at 2:30. We don't anticipate any problems, but it's still nerve-wracking.
Oh- and please Lord let the inspector finish before my semi-crazy neighbor gets home from work and thinks it would "help" if he went over and welcomed the buyers to the neighborhood. Yikes.
The usual - DH is busy and stressed, I don't get a break from the kids. And flaky people who don't show up on time or friends who aren't being good friends. I did a favor for someone who hasn't been giving me the time of day (doesn't return e-mails or calls) but has plenty of time to play games on Facebook, and I'm sure she'll be calling me when she wants a favor or a shoulder to cry on... funny how she's easily available when she has something to gain.
Also the mosquitoes - I was so happy that the weather warmed up, but I can't take the kids outside. I don't want to douse them with bug spray, and even if I do, they still get bitten on their faces/ears/head etc. The bugs are out of control.

Can I add that it's pouring out? And I didn't have an umbrella to go to my car the first time when I had to leave to go to the other school. Then I got there and got my umbrella out of the car and stepped in a HUGE puddle. My shoes finally felt somewhat dry when I had to leave there to come BACK to my original school and now I'm soaked again. My clothes, shoes, everything got wet twice pretty much since it's raining so hard - the umbrella was used after I got to the car but little help it did from the pouring rain.
I hate my schedule this year! I can't say that enough!
Im adding door to door sales people to my list. I posted this on TK for those of you who frequent both...
Ok so the one day I decide to call in sick, lounge around all smelly and unshowered and maybe attempt to clean house and get bills n such done, I get a damn door to door-er. And she was awesome. Biitch! She was selling magazines for points and the top earner got a trip to Europe and the top 15 got $$. Im always skeptical of these things and I trust next to no one so I always think theyre looking in my house for things to steal and such. But she sat outside with me while I looked up the program online to see that it was legit cuz like I said she was awesome. And it was and she was on the website as a top earner and yada yada....so I bought a magazine....
Thank god for cancellation policies b/c I turned around and mailed in the cancellation form 10 min after she left.
I dont like to say no to awesome people, but if I had money to throw away on sh!t I didnt need, I wouldnt be staying home to struggle out my school loans.
Damn door to door-ers....but hey on the not so plus side, I learned that my boxer puppy who I bought as a protector of the house...welcomes strangers with kisses on the face. Thanks for nothing

Hmm... my whine... well... aside from the no internet at work thing, I don't really have much to whine about.
