Hope no one minds I am doing a QOTD.

What was your favorite Halloween costume as a child?

  • My favorite was Betsy Ross. (Gosh I was a nerd!)  I loved it so much that I was Ms Ross for a couple years in a row. :)  I remember I would get so flustered though because people didn't know who/what I was, they just thought I was a little old lady.  I couldn't believe they couldn't figure it out since I was also carrying a half sewn flag.  I would get so excited when someone realized who I was suppose to be. (Yup I was a major nerd)

    That's so cute!

I think my favorites were the ones that didn't hinder my walking at all, and that I could feel "normal" in at a Halloween party... like a police officer (with eyeliner mustache) and French artist.

  • I love knowing that about you, Mira!

I was Little Bo Peep one year.  I think it was my favorite because I got to bring my stuffed sheep to school.

    I love that!

Mine was Raggedy Ann.  I was totally in love with her and ended up being her a couple of years in a row.

  • I was Santa Claus once.  Maybe not my favorite, but my most memorable.  :)

  • Ace of Spades.

I loved it because it was so random, creative, and original.  And I received a lot of compliments on the costume.  My mom made a white tunic with a big ace of spades on it.  I wore it over black pants.  We crimped my hair and put it up in this goofy style and tied playing cards to it.  And then she painted a spade on my cheek.

    It was cute.
