Has anyone tried the Job Seeker premium accounts on Linkedin?

Are they worth it?

I read somewhere that if you apply to a job through Linkedin using the job seeker account that your application is pushed to the top of the list. Not sure if that is really worth the $20/month though.

Re: Has anyone tried the Job Seeker premium accounts on Linkedin?

  • I used it while I was job searching and mainly for the feature you described. If you apply for a job via LinkedIn and you have a premium account, it actually shows the person checking that account more information about you than it does about the other applicants, and it pushes you to the top. I don't know if it helped me, but it seemed worth it at the time.

  • Honesly, I had it for 2 months. It did nothing for me. Over half of the jobs I applied to took you to an external website for the application process, and the LinkedIn Premier account does not in any way cross over when you leave the page. I didn't get any more emails/calls about interviews after I joined than before. So, to me it wasn't worth it.
