trick-or-treat bags

For favors for DS's 1st birthday party, I am making personalized trick-or-treat bags. I am using my Silhouette to cut out their names in fabric backed with heat-n-bond. Considering that they will probably be used a few times and probably not washed, would you also sew around the letters or just iron them on?

  • I'd sew them. It could be something used in years to come.

I'd sew too if you have time.  I would have loved having one of those when I was a kid.

  • Since you are making them for your one year old and his friends, I would sew them.  Little fingers can dig heat and bond appliques off (trust me).  Besides, for the "manipulation" they will go through with that age group, it will last longer if you sew them.

  • Cute. I'd say sew too.

It might also be nice to sew on some of that reflector tape, I always add it to DD's halloween stuff for safety.
