Appt Update (TTC Related)

So, as I mentioned in another post, I had my appt today with the new ob/gyn...and it went really well! I did not leave the office in tears this time, so that's definately a step up! She was very receptive to my concerns (not ovulating/having a period in a year). She gave me a few different options and also mentioned prescribing me Clomid.

But before all that happens....she's sending me for bloodwork to check my prolactin levels and do a PCOS workup. Once I get the results from that, we'll decide where to go. But I think what we will probably end up doing (and this is not having a diagnosis or anything) is taking the next 2-3 months and work on losing some weight (I've gained about 50 lbs from the Depo...a bad side effect) and then if needed, try the Clomid. The Dr said when you are over weight, sometimes losing 20-30 lbs is all your body needs to jumpstart ovulation. So I am going for my blood work tomorrow or Friday and I should have the results in about a week!

Sounds like you have a much better doctor this time around! Isn't it such an amazing feeling when you have found someone that really listens to you and gives you honest feedback that you can work with!!! I have been very blessed in the last two years to find two doctors that really focus on helping me! Good luck in what comes next!

Thank goodness!!  I don't understand why more doctors aren't straightforward and proactive for their patients!

Hopefully you get some answers and can get on your way to a BFP!
