Awesome!!

This morning I stopped in the local Krispy Kreme store for some doughnuts. I loved KK when I lived in NC and GA. I am so glad they have brought them back to my area in CA. Well, what I saw when I was there, was unreal. There was chaos, no management on site, and a bunch of employees who had no idea what to do. Granted, I know it is a newly opened store but the employees should be trained better. For example: Someone ordered 3 dozen glazed and the employee only saw 6 on the tray in the case. She asked another employee about it and the employee pointed her to the LARGE CONVEYOR BELT behind them. Now, anyone that knows KK, knows that glazed doughnuts are always there. This is not a difficult thing and should be a given for the employees.

So I emailed KK after I got to work about the issues I saw and just received an email back thanking me for my time to let them know of the issues. The email also said they are sending me a coupon for 1 free dozen doughnuts!!! I am so excited...although my diet won't be.

Sadly, this is probably the best thing that will happen to me today. :)

Re: Awesome!!

  • LOL, enjoy your doughnuts!
  • 1 dozen is only $8, and I wasn't looking for a freebie. It is a nice gesture on their part. I told them that I really do want the store to stay around. I think it can be very successful, with the proper tools & training. I was simply giving them the heads up that the store was not to standards of a properly run KK.
  • I had something similar happen to me in Peet's. I ordered a blended mocha thingy (not sure what they call it) and when I took my first sip it was all soupy and I was disappointed (I couldn't return it since I had already drove away from that place). Emailed corporate office and a few days later the store manager said she had free drink coupons waiting for me. I wasn't looking for free coffee but just making them aware that their quality was crappy.
