we have farmers (landlord version) on our home in minnesota & farmers renters here.  sorry i can't help w/ insurance pricing on a home here.  where are you guys moving from?  what area did you buy a home?  congrats too!  we've been here a year (mission valley area) & have enjoyed it!

Thanks for the info. ?We are only moving from Orange County to North San Diego (San Marcos). ?So I could technically use our current company but was hoping for some different pricing options. ?We don't have far to move but I loathe packing. ?

Hello!!! Im new here too, new to the board that is! Ive been in SD for almost 3yrs now and cant imagine living anywhere else!  Im renting so I have no idea about the pricing on homeowners insurance. Congratulations on your new place! Hope you enjoy SD as much as I do!

We just went with AAA, they gave us a discount on our car insurance too!  We should get the keys to our place next wednesday!  So excited!  Happy hunting

Welcome to the city!

We got our insurance through an insurance broker-- Marilyn Tecker of the (family-owned) Tecker Insurance Agency.  The agency is out of Oceanside, and they give free quotes over the phone as to which company would be cheapest for your situation and how much that would be.  The number is 760-757-3334.

AAA was great for us, also a discount because we have car insurance with them too.
