My nails are naked. A few days ago they were Orly Prince Charming, with Essie's Matte About You over it. It was cute for the 2 days that it lasted!
My toes are some dark gold frost color...a cheap brand of some sort.

I got my mani/pedi last week before we went away for the weekend.

My nails are some no-chip brand that I don't really like and kind of got tricked into doing because I wasn't entirely paying attention to what she asked me. I thought she was going to use the color I had on my toes and put some kind of top coat on it. Instead I ended up with kind of a raspberry colored polis which is pretty but doesn't match my toes and I don't like it as much.
I love love love this color.

Me too! It looked super cute with the matte polish over it, but it barely lasted 2 days:( Maybe I just suck at home manicures?!

It's the matte top coat, not your at home mani. Matte is like painting your walls with an eggshell finish- the paint becomes vulnerable really quickly.
I love the look but hate the wear, so I can only do it when I know I'll be able to change polish at the end of a weekend or have time midweek.

I intend on doing this this weekend. I have about 100 nail polishes I think at this point, so something needs to happen that doesn't include me hoarding them forever.

Haha, yea, going through them all, I realized I'm willing to part (even temporarily) with far fewer than I expected. I like all my polishes, dammit!
