  • First kiss: 15 years old (yes, I started late) at an underage club on the dance floor while grinding with some dude to late-90s techno. We made out, parted ways, never saw him again. Never even knew his name, and I don't think he ever spoke one word to me. Klassy, huh? My second kiss was a co-worker in a McD's parking lot. I should've had better standards in high school.

First you know: My "main" college boyfriend. I was 19 I think. Nothing too crazy or exciting.

  • Both with the same guy. I was stupid. And WAY too young to have sex. Gross.
  • First kiss, I was 13. It was right outside the band room after school. And I was kind of grossed out by it (buuuut, he was a terrible kisser.) I remember thinking, "Gross, why do people do this?"

ETA: Sex, I was about 17.5 and stupid. It was with my boyfriend I had all through high school. Our relationship was pretty much gone, but I was too afraid of being alone so I gave it up so he wouldn't break up with me...sigh...such a stupid decision. We broke up about 5 months later.

I haven't thought about what we'll tell our kids. I think I could use that experience to explain to them how I feel about pre-marital sex and hope they take my advice, but I'd be afraid they would instead think "Oh, mom did it when she was in high school so it's okay if I do." Luckily, I have a long time to think about it.

  • I had just turned 16 for the first kiss. It was a guy from the community college in town that I had been on two dates with. In his truck in the driveway outside my house. I used to be very awkward. Very.

Sex, I was 18.5. He was the guy I dated freshman year of college right after my HS BF and I broke up over Christmas break. In a trailer in Guthrie. LOL. We are still good friends.

  • First kiss: I was 16. Back of the bus during Truth or Dare after an academic team meet. I'd had a crush on this guy for YEARS...we kinda drifted apart after all that [and some high school drama] went down. Funny - he graduated high school with H, so it's a good possibility I'll see him at H's 10-year reunion in two years. Ha.

First time: It was with H [and he's been my only]. Thanksgiving night. I was 18 1/2, had no idea what I was doing, and we laughed through the entire thing. We're muuuuuch better at it after almost seven years.

  • First kiss I was 14 or so I think.  It was with my middle school boyfriend at his house outside during his birthday party.  Very unmemorable and lame.

First "you know" was with DH when we were dating.  I was 23 and had, according to DH, made him wait "forever" (which was actually more like 6 months HA!) so the look on his face when I told him it was go time was priceless. Lol

  • First kiss: I don't really remember... isn't that terrible?! I do recall a game of spin the bottle at a birthday party in 7th grade where I pecked a few of my crushes (one of whom was my best friend and BIGGEST crush up until like junior year of college.) And then one guy with braces got ballsy and tried to stick his tongue down my throat. I ran out crying, called my mom and had her come pick me up early. :)

First time: 16 years old with my BF who I dated off and on until I was about 21... First time wasn't really all that *special* so we did it again like 2 hours later. lol Then we were at it like rabbits for quite some time. And to think, before I met him I was a TOTAL prude. ::guh::

Which brings me to an interesting question... Will you be upfront with your kids about your "first time" experience?

  • First Kiss: Some baritone player in high school. It was awful and I was 16 (obviously a late bloomer but it was a small town and I was picky). I felt bad about it, like, dirty. He also kind of like attacked me lol.

First time: With H (then boyfriend). It didn't go so great the first time, so we did it again and like JLimberg, we did it over and over and over.

I think I will be. My parents [well, my mom] had drilled into my head that sex was bad and I shouldn't do it. I love her to death, but I don't think that worked for me - it just made me want to try it out even more. I'll definitely take a different approach with the whole sex thing when it comes time to have that talk with our kids...I'm thinking our kids will think H and I are old-fashioned for only gettin' busy with each other and not anyone else...

  • Are we really so offended by the word sex here that we have to say "you know" and various other euphemisms? Sex sex sex sex.

Yes, I'll be honest. I'll also be realistic.

I guess we're an easily offended bunch if we can't even try to come up with a funny title for this thread.  Let's be dead serious and re-name the thread "Describe your first kiss and sexual intercourse experience"... which sounds like something Amy Fowler from Big Bang would say.  LOL.

    DONE!

  • Oh, I wasn't offended. I just find it a little mockable. If anything, I think people are too pearl clutchy and are possibly actually offended at the use of the word sex (like that baby dance BS on the bump).

I am not even sure why I am explaining the title but - a lot of us are at work during the day -  I have my own office with my computer screen to a wall but not everyone has that luxury - some sit in a larger area where anyone that walks by can see what is on their computer screen.   So, in conclusion I was being courteous to those who are nesting while at work.

Agreed. As someone who is occasionally on here in the office, I would rather not have the titles to posts be racy. I would be less-inclined to click on them.

As far as pearl-clutchy, some people are and some aren't. And that's okay because we're all different. What's the big deal with saying something cute that is far less-likely to offend someone who might be a little more prude than some others (and I don't use the word "prude" in any derogatory way)? We all know what it means. I just don't see why Puppy should be attacked just because her language wasn't blunt.

  • First kiss:  I was 15.  I had my first BF and his name was Jeff.  We went to see Riding in Cars with Boys with my best friend and he just kissed me.

The first time I had sex I was 15 it was the same boy.  I was way too young.  He kept asking me to do it, so I finally just said yes to get him to shut up.  My mom had gone to the grocery store so it was quick, painful and very unromantic.

  • WOAH. Nobody was being attacked whatsoever. It was a little friendly ribbing. Do I Think it's silly for adults to be uncomfortable with the word sex? Yes, but this just isn't that serious y'all.
