Safe travels. We did that drive at the same time that Obama was campaigning and ended up stopping and staying a couple places where he had just been. One of our biggest surprises was how nice some rest stops were in certain states. The different costs of gas were also interesting. One thing that really seemed to pass the time, was loading my ipod with books on tape. We finished a book in one day!

I'm late as well but I've been seeing your pictures on FB. Looks fun!! Coincidentally, DH brought up the idea of doing a cross country trip next summer. I think we might do it!! Fly to Portland, OR for my sister's wedding in July and then take 2 weeks to drive home - we'd visit all the places that we want to see but never plan a trip to do so.
