Sad (pet related)

My mom just called and told me that my childhood pet (16 y/o cat) is going to die from kidney failure within the next week. My first Cat I got with DH died 2 months ago. I am pretty bummed, losing a cat is hard but 2 within such a short period of time really sucks. At least he lived a long life my other cat was only 9.

  • ((K&C))

    That's rough, I'm really sorry.

I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
  • I'm really sorry hon. It's never easy to lose a beloved pet. Maybe the kitties will meet up over the rainbow bridge. Who knows? DH's family has been going through similar things lately. They've lost a cat, a dog and a horse in the last year and it appears that another cat is taking a turn for the worse.

  • I'm so sorry. It's so difficult to lose pets. They really do become parts of our families and say forever in our hearts.
  • Thanks ladies, I am going to see him for one last visit tomorrow. Luckily my Mom is only an hour away. It will be hard to say goodbye but I know I will regret it if I don't.

  • Sorry to hear. You are right though, at least he lived a long and happy life.
