Lions and Tigers - oh my!
Hehe. I saw that on a business' billboard in Travese City last week.
But seriously, how 'bout them Lions and Tigers? Anyone following them?
My husband is losing his mind over the Lions. My mother is losing her mind over the Tigers. If I didn't know better, I'd say my sports-obsessed grandpa who recently passed away is pulling some strings with someone in a powerful position (this makes me smile).
Fun time to be a Detroit sports fan!
Re: Lions and Tigers - oh my!
I don't have much interest in pro football.
But, I'm crazy excited about the Tigers. An opportunity to put the smack down on the Yankees AND go to the World Series? Game on.
I'm following all of it.
I watch the Tigers all season long. I'm so glad that Cabrera got his act together this year and we were able to finish the regular season strong. Valverde can stop with the 9th inning drama anytime.
H and I are psyched about the Lions. At least we are a 2nd half team. And if our offense can't get points on the board at least our defense can. Yesterday's game was crazy. Dallas could have made it more of a game at the very end if they had realized that it was 4th down and Felix Jones didn't step out of bounds short of the 1st down.
My Profile
The Lions have been fantastic this year! Very exciting games to watch.
And go Tigers! I hate the Yankees so much!
I've never been a big Lions fan, so I'm happy they're doing well but I don't really care all that much. If they lose, oh well, if they win, neat.
Tigers are another story. I could barely watch the end of last night's game. After Avila slipped and missed the chance to close out the game, I had to excuse myself and walk around nervously imagining that the Yankees would win the game and the series and it would be the biggest blunder in baseball.
I have to say, I still love Granderson. When he comes on the screen, I smile. Even though he's probably making an awesome catch or hitting a homerun against us. I miss him, but I'm so happy he's done so well and gotten more recognition being a Yankee.
Same for our house!
You are a nice person. I feel betrayed. Any other team and it would have been fine, but not the damn Yankees. Grrr.
It would be different if he had willingly signed with them, but he was traded and had no say in it. So I forgive him.
Change Wolverines to Spartans and I'm with ya!
My Profile
I guess I am not as into sports as I thought. When I read, this I did jazz hands.
I am laughing so hard at this!
I hope you aren't laughing because I put the comma in the wrong place! grrr.
Even more chuckling over here.
It's hard not to be happy for Granderson's success. He's just a good guy.
Still, the Tigers need to just be a little more successful, when playing the Yankees.
Welp, Curtis definitely hurt us last night.
Andy and I had a conversation about whether Granderson says curse words. He seems too polite to do such a thing.
Hmmm... interesting debate. I think I agree with your conclusion.
He sure did hurt us.
I think he does swear, but it's kind of like when a baby lion roars. That mo-fo could bite your arm off, but it's still kind of cute.
This is what Andy and I sung when we got nervous last night.
The 80's Were Awesome
BLESS YOU BOYS!
I think we may purchase tickets for Game 5 next Thursday. Anyone else thinking of catching a game?
Hehe. Some of us were still mastering walking then.
