Interview follow up question
I had an interview last Monday. I felt it went really well. The HR manager told me they were hoping to contact candidates by the end of the week. When she walked me out, she shook my hand and said "I'll be in touch with you soon". I sent my thank you notes the next day, Tuesday. I'm getting concerned I still haven't heard anything.
When should I call to follow up?

I always give them some leeway. While the HR manager may have been ready to talk to people by Friday, she may not have anticipated some decision makers being out/on travel, trying to get feedback from everyone, narrowing down their list of candidates, and a host of other things. And while the interview was a big deal to you, for them it may be just another hiring decision.
I would wait until Wednesday, then give her a call.
