tips on decongesting baby
I have no clue if 'decongesting' is even a word...
Wyatt is sick today and can only breath out of his mouth. I've tried the suction but he won't let me anywhere near him with it, then I tried steam and it worked a little bit but not enough to clear him up, and then I put vicks on the soles of his feet, and so far I don't think it has helped. Any advice?
btw. even though he was sick last night, he slept better last night than most, so mission CIO seems to be working thus far

Re: tips on decongesting baby
thanks! I think I actually have a small bottle of that hidden somewhere, I'll try it
Luckily for me, he's actually not too cranky or sad, just stuffed up. I'm crossing my fingers he doesn't get worse
Saline nose spray and a nose sucker always works great, along with running a humidifier at night and using the little Vicks Vapo inserts.
vapor rub on the chest, and if you have a humidifier use it.
You can also steam him, if you put a pan on the stove, boil the water. Put in Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lavender Essential Oils. Then sit at the table and hold him on your lap, grab a big towel and throw it over you and him, he'll breath it in and it will help.
