DH had a 3rd interview last Tuesday for an awesome position with a large national company. If he gets it we will be moving (a good thing), there are many perks, a significant raise, and a ton of advancement opportunity.
So now it has been one week exactly. They told him within a week or two, but said they generally like to try and make it a week. When DH wrote thank you letters to all the people he met with at his 3rd interview, a couple of them wrote back thanking him. I thought that was a good sign but now that it has been a week, we are getting nervous. Which I know is dumb, these things take time. It's just so hard to wait...knowing this position would be such a life changer for us. If DH gets this job I know he will be so proud and I will be so proud of him.

Re: Waiting is so hard!
First, if the recipients of this thank you notes wrote him back thanking him, that's definitely a good sign.
And these things take time, so be patient! I had an interview with a company back on 8/19 and just got the written offer package today. And it isn't even the full offer, it's the "contingent on a background check blah blah blah" which means it will be another week or two before I can even get the official, official offer.
Needless to say, I understand your jitters! Good luck though!
