Sprint getting iPhone

I'm so excited!  I know what I want for Christmas now (besides a new camera lens).  I held off on upgrading my phone when DH first heard the rumors, but he didn't.  He's going to kick himself now!  I qualify for the highest upgrade credit next month.  Boo ya!

Re: Sprint getting iPhone

  • Clearly I'll need to do some reasearch...what makes the iPhone so awesome? I have Sprint service and will qualify for the upgrade discount in February, so maybe I should look into it!

  • iPhones are really, really awesome.  Totally changed my life.

Of course that was from an upgrade from a plain (non smart) phone.  A lot of people like android phones better, so it's really preference.

I use mine for an e-reader (nook and kindle apps).  Fast web browsing, tons of apps, love face time for chatting.

See, that's how I feel about my smart phone. Completely changed my life Smile I don't know if an iPhone would really be that different for me. I guess I'll need to do some research to see what the differences are and if it would be valuable to me.

I have a Palm and I HATE it. It sucks b/c there are no apps. When HP acquired Palm, they dropped the ball on smart phone. I really liked Palm as I have had one ever since it came out.

I am still going back and forth btwn an iphone and Android. Both have pros and cons. It is just a matter of preference.

I still have time as my upgrade is not eligible until March.

  • I have a Smart Phone now, too, but I still want the iPhone.  My phone is over 2 years old now and is slowly crapping out.  I swear they program them to do that.

This.  I LOVE mine and wouldn't want to ever give it up.  Plus it's an apple product which = very user friendly (ie my mom has an iphone and loves it) and it's a very reliable product.

The biggest negative that I have heard about droids would be the battery life (iphones typically outlast droids between charges), however, until the iphone 5 comes out (soon) the screens are bigger on the droids.

this is definitely false.  Tim has an iPhone (3GS) and I have a Droid, my phone can definitely outlast his (not by much, but it does) and always has.

that said, the new iPhones can supposedly last for 8 hours of talk time between charges.

Really?!  My Mac is sure driving me insane = not user friendly or I'm just a PC brained dufus.  I can't even access simple paths in Finder or when trying to upload photos to the internet.  I'll post separately about it to see if you can help me!

  • I have the iPhone 3G for work (maybe 3GS) and the iPhone 4 for personal use.  The battery life is good, but not great.  Often if use it a lot during the day (I love to text and read on it) it's almost dead when I get home.  However, I don't know how it compares to other smart phones.
