Does anyone here spin wool?? I used to post here-but wasn't big on it-thought maybe someone here might spin wool and would share some info on it.

I've done a bit of spinning, but only with a hand spindle.  I love doing it, and would love to take a spinning class at some point.
Are you just getting started?

I have never done it, and am looking into it because we really want a mob of sheep. We have an Australian Cattle Dog that I work on ducks, sheep, and cattle and we want to add another one. We aren't getting sheep for about 5-6 years here, but a friend of mine said that if I wanted sheer the sheep for their wool she knows someone that always has excess wool that I could use to see if spinning wool would be something I'd be up for. I have casually considered it for about 2 years, but never had any access to wool. Now that there is access, I want to find out if we can utilize the sheep for more that just fertilizing the gardens and working the dogs-but also a good supply of knitting wool. So...yea, just getting started.
