Re: Wild Wed

  • Good Morning!

Work and in the final stages of packing and getting everything set up for the move. Have our final inspection tonight and just crossing our fingers that we get the clear to close on time.

I don't mind the dentist, not my favorite place to go, but I go twice a year every year.

  • Grocery shopping, homework, and a little shopping with my mom later - we have a family book club, so we're going to purchase the book for the next round. Other than that, I have no idea. Maybe running in to work later to grab a book for mom.

I hated the dentist until I changed this year. The guy I had before was a total douche, but the woman I've got now is fantastic. Very gentle, and the only thing I have to worry about is the awful noise the tools make against the teeth when they're being scraped - it's my nails on a chalkboard sound.

  • Taking cars into the shop, getting things organized after being in 5 different states in 5 days, closing the pool, and relaxing with DH until he goes back to work next Wednesday for 10 nights straight totaling at least 102 hours.  It's going to be hectic.

I hate the dentist because I was cursed with bad genes and gums that are worse.  It's to the point of phobia since even a simple cleaning is big time pain.  I have had a couple of good ones recently who work with me by numbing my gums for cleaning, providing noise-cancelling headphones to keep me from hearing the tools, and using other techniques.  The new guy is a Professor at IU Dental School and really open to anything to be able to work with me.  He even calls me in the evenings after appointments to check on me.
