Welcome to the board! My anniversary is the 9th as well
As far as DIY anniversary gifts, you could always do a picture collage and frame it, or else write on individual papers 365 reasons why you love him to celebrate the first 365 days you've spent as a married couple? Although that last one might be hard to do, but you could get funny/silly with it.
It may be a bit late to pull this off, but I bought a diary with an Irish design on it right after we got married and wrote in it every night, saying what we'd done together, something nice he'd done for me, and left a note saying how much I loved him. I gave it to him our anniversary trip this past weekend, and he loved it. I didn't fill it all the way, but he keeps it on his night stand, and I caught him writing in it last night. Maybe do something similar? I'm pretty sure the first anniversary is paper. I like Xan's idea, too.
Congrats on (hopefully) passing the bar!
Hi and Welcome!
I've seen this (52 Reasons I Love You) a bunch of times on pinterest and think it's pretty cute and it's a little simpler than Xan's suggestion but still along the same lines:
thanks to all of you for the ideas. I have seen the 52 reasons i love you and was going to do that until I found the frame idea. Maybe valentine's day for the card idea.
The journal thing is really cute too. I may start that now and give it to him for next years anniversary!
welcome!
