I'm going to make Hawaiian chicken on the grill for our camping trip on Saturday. I only want to marinate the chicken overnight, but can I actually prepare the marinade ahead of time...like Thursday evening? I assume if I keep it in the fridge, it'll be fine to add the chicken to it on Friday evening.
The ingredients are soy sauce, brown sugar, water, chopped onion, minced garlic, sesame oil and coconut milk.
I'm such a dingbat when it comes to cooking
Re: Random cooking question
You think so? Is there such a thing as over-marinating something? Seriously, I'm such a cooking dingbat
Nope-you are not a dingbat when it comes to cooking! You are learning!! I would do that. Put it all in a ziploc bag. Heck-you can freeze it and use that to "cool" other items and it will be thawed by the time you need to cook it!
totally fine
This and this.
This!
