In your experience, is it a bad sign if you don't hear back right away with an answer? Say you are told 1-2 weeks, but it is noted that they typically like to TRY and keep it to 1 week when they can. Would you be concerned and figure you are out if you haven't heard back after the 1 week point?

Re: After an interview - Q
No, and I never will understand why people get so hung up on the timing on this board.
They said they'd try to keep it to 1 week, but they said 1-2 weeks. Things happen. Someone goes out on PTO, an offer letter takes longer to write, a new candidate walks in the door/gets referred, a big project means decision makers aren't available, etc.

Ugh you are totally right. it is just easier said than done to not get hung up on it when it is something you want SO bad! I was asking in regards to a job my DH is waiting on, and I keep telling him what you just said, but I think he is losing hope with every day that passes. I will just keep telling him to be patient and we will keep our fingers crossed.
