h had to close the door of my room because i was screaming and scaring the patients in the waiting room.
after my first blood draw during the pg (i've had two so far), the tech told me to ask for a "butterfly needle". he said they always have them, they're more expensive so the techs avoid using them, but they are shorter and "quicker" and reserved for people who have issues. it still hurts...that liar......but it's really more the anxiety and fear than the pain itself though (at least for me).

Yep, me too! And them going in my vein. It's not the pain. I have some xanax I was thinking about taking, but I'm afraid it will affect my results.
My only blood draw when I was pregnant, they had me lay down in a room, and I was hysterical. The lady was gone for like 10 minutes and finally James was like, "She's done, she's completely gone. She's been done for a while." It is the most invasive thing I have ever experienced in all my life. I feel completely violated afterwards.
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
h thinks i'm 5 years old because i make evil eyes at the tech when they come in the room. after they get the needle in, i'm fine...it's just the fear leading up to it.
i don't know what it is exactly that bothers me....since i have a tattoo
