Is it always this slow, or is it just because I'm home during the day this week to witness the slowness? I can't believe nobody has any "dear _____"s today.

Sadly, the baby board isn't doing a whole lot better these days either.  They only have 6 threads started today.  There are 4 here.

Maybe CW tired everyone out yesterday.

I love how many views Dear ________ Thursday has though.  We all seem to want to read them even if we don't want to write them.

That's what puzzles me. The views are there. And the really interesting posts get lots of comments, like PKW's post about vacationing. But why so few comments on the others? I don't get it.

I do think the view count has to do with people like me nesting from my iPhone. It takes so long to post a response that I dont have the time on my breaks. But I know a lot of people used to post while at work. I wonder if people are more hesitant to spend time online since the economy is bad. Or they are extra busy because coworkers were laid off.

I've wondered this, too. I've never been able to post from work except sometimes at lunch time. If I'm posting during the day it's been when I have been in school and couldn't work because Drew was bedbound or now as I'm unemployed. It always blew my mind that people had so much down time at work.

I have sooooooooo much less down time now that I'm home with a baby...It was downright easy to find time to nest from work.  Sheesh.

Yeah, I think other moms have said this. Of course, my job is kids (albeit a lot older than yours ) so I just could never have nested while working.

I think another big factor is that the Knot board is DEAD.  There hasn't been a single post on the nor cal knot in the last 2 days.  So, we're losing people (to the baby board, divorce, or just because it gets old) and we're not getting many new people at all.

it probably doesn't help that the topics being posted some people just can't relate to and they don't post b/c of that. i'm not lurking/posting as much on the bump b/c i can't relate to the topics being posted. most of the posts leaving me going REALLY ?!?

Totally agree with this. I rarely logged on this summer while on leave (it also didn't help that I was having internet issues at home). Now that I am back at work it sucks to see such dead boards.

Work blocked most of my fun internet access and my phone will.not.load the nest. The signal in my office sucks. And we've been so busy, that I really haven't logged on at all on the weekends or even at night. I miss you guys though.

I always know the new moms won't be around for a while. I can't imagine how busy they are! I assume it's normal to take a while to adjust. And I always hope they come back but understand if they don't or if they hang around the bumpie board.I wondered how the knot boards were doing. That could explain the lack of new activity around this time.I w
