Besides the personalized M&M's, are there any unique ideas for personalized party favors, preferably edible?

You can get anything. We had biscotti personalized for an event.
Maybe you can also have candy put into small tins and have the tins personalized instead. You can have lolipop, cookies - you name it. Or get chocolate bars and have the wrappers personalized.
