Okay, so, as I said in the previous post, I think I'm going to shelve the "Favorite Things" idea at least through the holiday season. I'll see what sort of responses I get to my spin-off post below...
Now, I have a question about the wording for the lunch invite. I want it to be girls only. I'm planning on prepping a full menu myself. However, since it is holiday time and people may be baking anyway, I'd like to encourage them to bring something if they want.
How does this wording sound/design look? (I've got to start planning now -- my budget is tight and I really want throw this party, so I'm spreading out the costs by buying/printing/planning over two months rather than two weeks like I normally do!):
Is the bottom part (about lunch being provided + bringing baked goods) totally unnecessary? Should I just tell people if they ask? Or is it cute? Can I say something else down there so I can still use my little gingerbread guy?
Re: S/O Question Holiday Lunch Wording
Hi! Love the Gingerbread Guy BTW - I do think the wording below him is redundant. I think it is assumed that you are providing Lunch, Drinks and Dessert - unless otherwise stated and holiday bakers will bring you treats anyways... even if they don't ask they will show up with them.
Since you aren't doing a "favorite things" or toy drive etc. - maybe just
Eat, Drink and Be Merry or something seasonal...like that...
sorry have run out of ideas...
Your first name's Colette? I love that name!
Since it's a Ladies Holiday Luncheon, I think the bit about lunch and drinks is unnecessary. For the other part, I'm thinking something about "If you're feeling festive" and "holiday sweets."

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
I love the name Collette too.
As for the invite I'd leave off the entire bottom. It's redundant and people may think they need to bring something. I like the gingerbread guy so maybe add a return between the luncheon and your name and another between your e-mail and the gingerbread. Then just do a whole line of the guys across the bottom.
