the mom follow-up
hey ladies,
sorry i've been so very MIA lately. the computer situation at my mom's leaves a lot to be desired, and nesting from the iPhone is just terrible.
so i got back to NYC on friday night after spending 2 weeks in pennsylvania while my mom had her hysterectomy and began recovering. everything went VERY well. at the follow up, the oncologist was confident that he'd gotten clear margins around the tumor. there were no metastases, either!
he did say it was a large tumor, though, and because of that, once she's healed, my mom is going to have a round of chemo and radiation to be certain there is no recurrence. we should know more in a few weeks.
hope to be around here more often now that things are getting back to "normal."
