Re: FFF
i feel a smug sense of satisfaction every time a FB friend announces a pregnancy...and then announces the baby's HEINOUS name.
cuz no child should be saddled with lawsyn.

for real? that poor child......
Baby K ~ born July 1
I went to H.S. with a LAWSON. I assumed it was a maiden name turned 1st name.
I PROMISE, my child's name will be a real name, not imaginary or a mashup. No, we're not pg.
I was so busy this morning trying to GTFO the door, that I forgot to drop off the trash at the dumpster. Yep. Still in my trunk.
I don't think its anything gross...
Call me Kat =^..^=
I hate stupid kid names and I judge the parents when I hear them. I especially hate the ridiculous celebrity ones. No kid should be shackled with the name Pilot Inspector, or named after a fruit. WTF are these people thinking and who is blowing the smoke up their butts and saying they should do it.
It makes me feel terrible for the kids at the massive amounts of teasing when they are young and confusion through out their life they are going to get.
And since it's flame free friday I think those kinds of parents are setting the kid up for a sh!tty life when you give them a stupid name. You never meet anyone with a respectable job named something stupid. I am never going to go to a lawyer or docter named lawsyn. I'm going to think you are probably still in the shallow end of the gene pool.
Agreed. There's nothing worse than a strange name with an even stranger spelling.
ALTHOUGH...I admit that I want one of my kids to have my maiden name as a middle. It's a middle name though, so that's okay right?
or Jacksyn. Yes, I know one. sad...
~~~MARRIED BIO~~~
middle names are totally allowed! plus, i'm pretty sure your maiden name wasn't breelee or haedyn or some other heinous, bastardized spelling of regular names.
i won't ever use my maiden name for a name...but i've thought about using my mom's.
maiden as middle is fine, i had a friend in hs who's middle name was o'neil. i mean... you don't go by the middle name. no one calls you by that name. give them a normal first name and they won't have to worry about the middle being a little off.
