Lol - Random

So I am just sitting out our little love seat in our bedroom bored out of my mind. Next to me is H's pile of clothes he has for the hospital. I noticed there is a small paper bag in with his clothes. Naturally I look to see what is in it. Inside is three mini bottles of dark rum, two mini bottles of absolute vodka, and one mini bottle of mandrin vodka. We had talked about me wanting a shot of vodka after labor.... I just thought it was funny, a pile of booze sitting here next to me and I didn't even know it.

that's so exciting!  ok, so I just went to your blog and I have to say, I like yours the best when it comes to discussing being pg.  I particularly like the post about the pg symptoms you have/haven't had, lol.  And I'm also impressed/motivated by your ability to keep working out this whole time.  I've just never liked running that much, although I've tried it a lot.  I think I enjoyed it most when my dad and I started recently, but with the bad weather I just don't like it as much Embarrassed  I know I should really try harder*.  Anyway, there are so many things you wrote that would actually make me be ok with getting pg compared to how a feel a lot of people talk about it.  I know some of it is genetic, but there's hope!  I just really like your approach.

*this is probably flameful, but I know a big reason is because I don't 'have' to work out to stay my size.  I fully realize that I am not healthy regardless of my weight and I need to exercise though, so I'm trying

ETA: ok, you're my new favorite person after I read "I just don't have the time to fit in an hour long yoga session. I also find it pretty boring." and LOL @ your cat.  I really don't get the yoga thing, it's too slow for me.  I actually really enjoyed belly dancing when I took some classes, I feel like it's sort of the same idea of muscle control but with fun music!  I also want to do one of those Zumba classes...

I am doing okay. I've been pretty sick. The last week I've thrown up on average once every 24 hours and at night it has been the worst. My doctor made some recommendations for me today on some things to help. I stopped by Walgreens on my way home and I already feel better. I could really use a good night sleep tonight. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Amanda! I don't think your post is flameful at all... I'm struggling to come up with my next blog post. I try to post once a week but I am not really doing much now except the occasional walk. I'm leaning towards a random update and I learned some good news from the baby doc yesterday that I want to share. I am looking forward to blogging about getting back into shape afterwards. I think a lot of people will be able to relate to that.

that sounds great!  I wish I had the same passion for exercise as I do for shoes... but maybe you've inspired me to work on it more :)

When i talked to my dr. about preparing for pregnancy he likened delivery to a marathon, in that a good "performance" in both is best achieve through preparation.  As such, maintaining an exercise routine during pregnancy tends to ease delivery b/c the woman's body is physiologically more prepared for the exertion of labor.  I don't know if you'd want to write about that, but it's one idea.

I hope you feel better soon!

ETA: And that's super cute of your husband!  I love the carefully planned back, packed and ready to go.
