So my dad just bought me and DH an iPad. I've wanted one for a long time, but now that I have it, I'm not sure what to do with it. It doesn't have flash so I can't watch shows on it, and hulu plus wants to get us to pay for it, which feels like a real ripoff to me since we get it (basic hulu, that is) free on our computers. And although H loves Angry Birds, I'm not much of a fan of games.
Do you have an iPad? What do you do with it? Advice, suggestions, ideas and recs would be appreciated.
Re: iPad?
I use mine a lot as an e-reader. I have both the kindle and nook apps, as well as iBooks, so I can shop around for books.
I also use it for games (angry birds, snood, swipe tap tap, crossword, jumbline) and watching movies (either bought through iTunes or on Netflix).
It's great to travel with since it's much lighter than the laptop. In fact, most times at home now, I will use the iPad to surf the web instead of the laptop b/c it's lighter and more convenient.
I use mine at work between meetings when I'm away from my desk to check email, my calendar, surf the web, etc.
I love the Flipbook app - very cool way to integrate "news" from social media as well as traditional media outlets. I think it's a great example of what the iPad can do.
I use my iPad instead of a computer when I am home to check e-mail, surf the web, play games, watch TV and movies, and read books and magazines. Although it doesn't have flash you can watch a lot of TV and movies as many networks have apps that you can download for free. And there are additional apps that you can purchase.
Not sure why you wanted one for so long and now that you have one you can't think of one thing to do with it. If you really are that disappointed, I would recommend returning it.
