So apparently I am dumb when it comes to doing a decent google search on this.
We're moving to Ann Arbor in June, but need to find a preschool for our oldest daughter stat (enrollment is starting up everywhere soon). We'll be in Ann Arbor, and don't want to do a long drive, so we really want to stay in the that immediate area. I don't want/need anything fancy, and definitely only want half day. Like, something through a church would be fine, low key, whatever. Nothing fancy like Cranbrook. ![]()
I don't know why I can't seem to find any basic preschool in that area, so any recommendations, or even just a jumping off point that you've heard of would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!
Re: Ann Arbor preschool?
Our neighbor sends her youngest to St. Francis of Assisi's preschool in Ann Arbor. You have the option of going a half day or a full day. She is a teacher herself, and she really likes the program!

I don't have any kids, but I graduated in Early Childhood Education at a college in Ann Arbor, so I've done fieldwork and observations at quite a few A2 preschools. These ones sound like they might be in the realm of what you're looking for, and they'd be what I'd be looking into for my own child if I were looking for part-day preschool:
-Allen Creek Preschool (allencreek.org)
-Early Learning Center (elcpreschool.org)
-Triangle Cooperative Nursery School (trianglecoop.org)
-St. Paul Early Childhood Center (stpaulannarbor.org)
I know of some more, but those were the ones that I had the best experiences with.
If you're looking for more options, Arborweb has a ton of listings for child care in the area. This link http://arborweb.com/cg/t0046.html is the link to children's services. On the drop-down menu, they list both part-time and full-time care places... look through both as many of the full-time child care places also offer part-day options. Hope that helps!
