XP: Where did you get your Christmas stockings?

I'm looking to get new personalized ones this year.  Where did you get yours?
Anxiously awaiting DD #2! EDD 2/5/12

Re: XP: Where did you get your Christmas stockings?

  • We got ours from pottery barn, but if I were buying stockings, I'd go through the Company Store (or CompanyKids).

My mom got "new" stockings when DH came into the family (10+ Christmases ago), and while their needle-point looking stockings change every year, they are still similar in nature, so you can "add-on" to the family (with new kids, new spouses, etc.) and the desgins are simiar (for example, there is still a Santa, but he looks different in 2011 than he did in 2010, but the size, shape, "look" of the stocking is the same).  Also, even personalized, they are not too pricey.

  • I keep saying every year we are going to get stockings and we never do. But you can get yours done at the little stands in the mall. They're pretty cheap.

  • I've been obsessed with drop cloths lately so I'm making our stockings and tree skirt out of drop cloths.  I plan on embroidering ours to make them personalized but if you don't have an embroidery machine or don't want to send them off you could always paint them with freezer paper stenciling.
  • I ordered ours from Pottery Barn today. They were on sale and had free shipping, so they were $16 per stocking. Not too bad!

  • I would recommend Pottery Barn, but wait until they go on sale, which they do fairly early- and they are usually free shipping
