Weekend recap?

Anybody do anything fun this weekend? What was the best part of your weekend?

I went to visit my parents after work yesterday. It's always nice to see them. That was the highlight. Other than that I worked. But today is my Sat/Sun. Soooo I plan on doing nothing!!

We had some Bay Area friends visiting with us this weekend.  Friday we took them to open gym volleyball (at their request) and went to a local ice cream place for dinner/dessert.

Saturday I had a GTG with the ladies from my other local board and it was so much fun.  Then DH and I took our visiting friends to the Cranberry Festival in the afternoon.  You get to watch them flood the bogs and harvest the cranberries, plus there's the usual food, crafts, etc.  It was a gorgeous day so it was nice to be outside wandering around!  Afterwards we dropped them off at the airport and just relaxed for the rest of the night.

Sunday we slept in (felt sooooo good), did some yard work, finished up last year's taxes, and did other errands.

We bottled our wine most of Saturday and then yesterday went to a sustainable ranch in Pescadero run by a few of the parishioners at the church I work for and had a nice hike and a tour of the facility.

The best part of my weekend was making choc. chip cookies with Emme on Saturday. She had a blast! It was messy, but lots of fun. The rest of the time was just waiting to hear the news that my nephew was born.

Had a great weekend!  Best part-seeing Fleet Week on Saturday at our friend's place in North beach....prime rooftop view....all routines flew RIGHT over us.  Weather was great, company was wonderful, and food/bevs hit the spot!

I unintentionally stopped by Daiso and bought two little water keeper dwarfs. I don't know how well they work, but they were so cute that I'll just use them as garden decor like garden gnomes.

Nothing exciting since I've been sick since Friday. I shopped around online for a dining room table and chairs and did some writing. DH made many trips to the store for me for soup, etc... He accidentally picked up Spicy Chicken Gumbo the first time he went instead of Minestrone or Chicken Noodle. I couldn't eat it with my stomach issues.

We had a really nice weekend. Saturday we went downtown to do some shopping, then grabbed sandwiches from Boudin and sat in Union Square (lots of parades and activities going on). Then we BBQ'ed by the pool and went out for margaritas with some friends.

Sunday we went to fleet week in the Marina then came home and BBQ'ed again. I made bison turkey burgers and omgggg they were good.
