Travel Question
Okay so next year (2009) me and DH are wanting to go somewhere the second week of December. DH's b'day falls in that week. There is the possibility of a cruise (we've been on them before just never at that time of year), other than that I am looking for stateside ideas. If you could go anywhere (with this criteria) where and why would you go?

We live a little over an hour from there and are actually going up there this year the weekend after his b'day to see the Christmas lights at the hotel and to go shopping. It is very pretty up there
The Biltmore Estate in North Carolina - I've always wanted to go during December.
Are you wanting beach? I'd look in to San Diego or the Keys for that...
I hear that Gatlinburg is very pretty at Christmastime.
Biltmore....it is beautiful! We went for Thanksgiving in 2006 and they had it decorated for Christmas and it was gorgeous!
We ate Thanksgiving at the Grove Park Inn and I wish that we could have stayed there....it was gorgeous!

A cruise is definitely a great option - you really get the most out of your money!
I absolutely love Biltmore - it would be beautiful at Christmas. Asheville is a great city.
My birthday is Dec. 16 and last year we went on a cruise to the Bahamas. It was GREAT that time of year! Thats also when DH proposed. I would totally recommend it! BUT leave from Miami instread of Mobile.
