Quilt out of wedding dress? Other ideas?
I'm so sick of having my wedding dress box under our bed collecting dust and dog fur. I looked for ideas online and came across wedding dress quilts. My dress is silk so I'm thinking a wall hanging type quilt would probably be better than one we actually use. If you've had this done, where did you go and what was the approximate cost and size of your quilt? Did they use extra quilt fabric or were they able to dye your dress different colors?
What else have people done? I'd prefer something that doesn't have to do with babies or kids.

Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
Re: Quilt out of wedding dress? Other ideas?
I've heard of people donating their dresses.
Larger churches often have quilting groups that meet. Maybe call around and see if you can get in touch with someone that might have advice?
I think she made baptism dresses for her twin daughters.
