S/O fashion.. wardrobe staples
Real Simple has a pretty comprehensive list, but what do you consider to be some "wardrobe staples?"
For instance, I think every woman needs a pair of really good-fitting jeans, some classic black pumps, and a classic cardigan with good structure (i.e. not limp with no shape).

Round toe black pumps
Black and brown knee high boots
Camis in basic colors - white, flesh, black.
I wear them under everything.
Ditto this. I'm wearing my white one today.
Classic black and neutral pumps, black and neutral flats, well-tailored trousers/slacks, casual jeans, dress jeans, black pencil skirt, neutral camis, black and neutral cardigan shells, well-made wrap dress (I'd pick this over a little black dress), button-down shirt, printed silk blouse, well-tailored blazer jacket, printed/color trench coat, etc, etc.
PS. I'm in actual ownership of only about 1/3 of these items...
Amen to this! The well-made is the key. I discovered today that my BR wrap dress was not well made in that it did not wrap quite like I had hoped. I spend the outside portion of the day trying to keep it closed in the wind and the indoor portion of the day trying to find a ladylike way to sit. Maybe I can't figure out how to tie it correctly???
