I swear I don't know where these women come from. That's just crazy... but yeah I guess it would make labor go by faster, although after doing a marathon I don't know how she found the energy.

Well, technically, I believe she only did half the marathon. And maybe her quick bite to eat right after gave her a bit of a boost of energy? Although I thought you are supposed to avoid eating when you go into labor??

She did the whole thing, but only ran half of it. She said she walked two miles, then ran two miles and repeated... They want you to eat if you can, but as soon as you get an epi you can't eat anything and I don't think you can drink much either. I watched an interview this morning. She said the labor was more tiring than the marathon. She sounds like a really ellite runner, so I am sure she was fine. More power to her. She also said this was her second marathon with the baby.

Ah, I misunderstood that part. I thought they said the doctor approved her to do half of it so that was all she did. Goodness, I couldn't imagine doing a full 26 miles and then giving birth!
