Jeans question

I just bought a new pair of jeans and had them shortened.  They are still a little long and are dragging on the ground.  I was thinking about putting clear nail polish along the bottoms to keep them from fraying.  What do you think?  Anyone ever tried this?

Re: Jeans question

  • I've never tried clear nail polish.  I would think that it would look weird as the hem naturally got a little dirty (wouldn't be dirty under the polish) or faded.

I think if these were "dressy" jeans I would either take them back to get brought up a little more, or use this an excuse to buy new shoes.  If they were casual jeans, I would probably just leave them and be okay with a little bit of fraying.

  • All of my jeans are frayed, never thought to use polish to try to avoid this.
