Anyone on this board lol? I am new to montana and had some high hopes haha
Re: mueller.... mueller????
Hello!
I have been checking on this board for activity, but it doesn't seem like anyone wants to play
Right now I'm living in ND, but I'm Montana born & bred.
Hi! I have lived in Billings for 5 years now. I love it. I am originally from WY.
I am a newly-wed. We got married on October 1st and it would be great to know more people. We are really outdoorsy (we like hiking, cross country skiing, ice fishing, hunting) and I am a housewife so I don't meet a lot of people.
As far as places go... The heights is cheaper (that's where we own) and downtown is a little more and the west end is the most expensive. So you get the biggest bang for your buck up here. The downside, of course, is that most businesses are on the west end.
Hope that helps!
Hi Littlepiston,
We actually found a house to rent in The Heights, not too far from The Vig. My boyfriend is a geologist and is in North Dakota a lot of the time, so it can be tough living in a new town with no job or friends. Where in the heights are you? I like the area we are in for the time being but we plan on buying our own place in a year or so.
How old are you and your husband? I am 23 and my boyfriend is 29.
Thanks!!
Cjsmith4,
Glad you found a place! We live above Alkali creek off of Aronson-maybe a mile west of the Vig, I have to say, we have never been there.
My name is Jessica, by the way
I am 28 and my husband is 30. I used to be a personal trainer and he is a computer programmer. The gym I worked at had less than professional methods so now we work out at The Granite on Main Street.
What do you do for fun?
.Talk to you later...
Hey Jessica,
I live near Aronson, on Bazaar Exchange. I'm not sure how far Aronson runs though, but I walk my dog down on that road sometimes.
We went to The Vig last Saturday before my boyfriend had to go back to work. , They had a band playing which was nice. We are still trying to figure out where to go out around here.
I have been wanting to try yoga or pilates. Does your place have classes?
I absolutely love to ski. We are going to Red Lodge once he gets back. I haven't been skiing in years, hopefully it's just as easy as I remember it to be. I am currently without a car since I just moved from Indiana and I had to sell my old one because it was in no shape to make that long trip. Hopefully i'll be able to get one here soon, so I can get out and try to look for a job.
If you have facebook you can add me, my name is Cassie Smith. I should be under Ball State University or Billings.
Wow,
Bazaar is really close to where we live, like 6 blocks, maybe. I think I have seen a dark haired girl out walking around with a dog. Wonder if it was you.
The gym I go to has some classes, check out granite fitness online. I like yoga too but my favorite instructor moved to Australia??? The one that replaced him is okay but I guess I got attached.
Funny thing about facebook, I just deactivated my account because I got tired of it. Somehow I have all my family and friends on there and they never say anything that is of any value. I figure if they want to find me they will find a way.
The best places to go out are downtown and west end. Hooligans is really popular on Broadway and Rowdies too. Honestly, we don't go out. We are usually in bed by 10pm and even at my bachelorette party, midnight was my end.
We are skiers too, but cross country. We just started and we love it.We are actually going to Red Lodge tomorrow with some friends.
Why don't I give you my number and we could meet up and see if we have anything in common. Walk your dog around the neighborhood and I can give you some pointers on the area... 406-697-5429.
You can text me any time or give me a call. Hopefully you have Verizon...?
Later...
Jessica
We actually just got back from a walk. If you see a tired golden retriever puppy its probably my dog, haha.
I'll definitely want to check out that gym as soon as I get a car. I need to start getting back in shape. Do you run at all? I was a runner in high school but started slacking once I graduated.
I have heard of Hooligan's, but haven't had a chance to check it out. I also go to bed somewhat early (compared to what I used to back in college) because i'm usually up by 7 or 8.
Have fun in Red Lodge this weekend. If you know of any good places to stay that would be great. We were looking at Rock Creek Resort...
My number is 317 385 4564 and yes I do have Verizon
That is a little ways away, sorry.
Fairmont Hot springs is my favorite place over there. You guys can soak up the warm water and then I will be jealous.
What do you do in Butte, My husband went to college there.
