OL Tuesday

Dear Monday and Tuesday Morning Drive,

You were awesome!  Why can't it always be like this?

Dear Mom,

Happy 60th Birthday!  I know you were watching last night's game because you would have wanted Joe Buck to shut up as much as I did.

Dear Bill,

Thank you for taking such good care of me and for finalizing our trip plans last night.  They are just one of the many reasons that I love you and am thankful that I married you.

    Very sweet! Welcome back btw!

    Dear me,

You need to let go of the stuff yesterday. New day just enjoy the day for what it is.

  • Dear Body,

What is wrong with you?  I have been working our consistently, eating pretty darn good and getting plenty of sleep, yet I feel like crap most days and my skirts are feeling tighter than they did last month.  Everything I am doing now is similar to what I did when I lost 50lbs.  I am starting to feel like I have to be super strict which is what I want to avoid this is a lifestyle not a diet.

-frustrated me who still has 60ish pounds to lose.

  • Dear new doctor, Please help me figure out what's wrong and why my body isn't having periods like its supposed to! :-( Dear Tuesday, I thought you were Wednesday and then realized it was just Tuesday and I still have three more days until the weekend :-( Dear Bobbileigh, I hope it gets less frustrating for you. Is your body just used to it maybe?

  • Dear Sleep -

Let's actually get together tonight.  I need rest.

    - Sleepy nestie

  • Dear NFP girls - I was reading the later posts from yesterday and I am glad to hear that a couple of you are using the method and it is working out. You are giving Tiffany confidence.

Dear math - I hate you.

I am tired today, I think the UTA sickness that is going around might have finally gotten me. Lame.

  • Oh and speaking of NFP, I have to tell you about some cray-cray over on GP. She told everyone yesterday that she is so thin she can actually see her eggs moving down her tubes and so she knows exactly when she ovulates because of this.

    Dear Leslie,

God is great, beer is good... and people are crazy?

     Seriously, that's absurd.

  • Dear Nesties - This woman is a bad ass. It cracks me up how many people are up in arms about her though. She knew what she was doing and she was properly trained, as KKITM would say "get over it!" - Leslie

  • Leslie, I'd think if she was that grossly underweight, her body would be shutting down and she wouldn't be ovulating.  That's Dr. Angie's opinion anyway.  Also, I forgot to look at the remote last night - sorry.

Dear James,  Please don't get sick - you just don't have time for it.  I'm glad you're enjoying school though - I love when you come home and can't stop talking about it and you're so excited like a little kid who learned something new.  I love seeing this side of you!

Dear work, Do yourself, I have other things to do.

YES! I remember an episode of X-Files with that basic premise, and I swear to all that is good and holy, just thinking about it right now pretty much guarantees I'll have nightmares about it tonight. How on earth could someone think they can actually SEE themselves ovulating?

  • Dear Dean-

Please drive safely to San Antonio! You have my hubby, and 5 other dispatchers lives in your hands. I'd like him back in one piece, kthanx.

    -worried wife.

Dear lady who ran a marathon THEN gave birth to your baby-

    Your brave, and you ROCK!

    Dear roofers-

Please hurry and fix the leak on our roof asap. I dont want anymore pockets of water coming through our walls.

-impatient apartment renter who really doesnt wanna move.

    Dear Nesties-

    How was everyones weekend??

  • Dear Nesties,

As weird as it may sound, I can feel my ovaries as that time gets closer but not any other time.

And I do think that lady was crazy for running a marathon being that far along but what do I know?

  • Re: Lady Running Marathon

She walked half and ran half with her doctors consent. That's really not THAT bad.   :)   Second of all, if she was training at 30,35,37,38 weeks... why shouldn't she be able to run at 39?   If her doctor is okay with it, then I don't see why it is a problem.

    My assessment?  Total badass.

    -Me

  • Dear Whiskey Tango SIL,

Yup, yesterday your fate was sealed. You are trash. Asking my mom to throw your baby shower was a little below the belt.  We both know my parent's are already doing SO MUCH for the two of you. Stop being ungrateful and please learn to be an adult. I'd hate to think my niece or nephew will grow up like you.  Maybe instead of asking for more gifts...you should probably send out the thank you cards for your wedding. Just an idea...

    - me

P.S. My mom is not inviting ANYONE to the shower on our side. She is very embarrassed that even when she sent you a list of people, stamps and thank you cards...you still couldn't send them out.

    Dear creeper,

     Ok, really....just stop...please stop.

  • Dear Nesties -

I'm struggling with a serious case of the "don't want to's" today. I feel like I was putting out fires all over the world yesterday, and I'm just emotionally drained. I want to shut off the computers, shut off the phone, go grab Jack out of school for a fake emergency, and take the kids to the zoo. Tell me this is irresponsible, and I should get back to work.

    Love,

    Lazy Chelsea

    Courtney,

I'm sorry your family is dealing with that madness. I hope for the baby's sake that everyone straightens up their act. We're dealing right now with a very similar situation in Mack's family, and the baby is bearing the brunt of (what I saw as an inevitable) divorce. It sucks all around.

I agree with all of this except for the qualifier that it was a half, which I think you  might have been joking about, so if so, I agree with all of it! Walking 13.1 miles is a beast. Walking 13.1 miles after running 13.1 miles with a 39 weeks pregnant belly makes you a beast.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this. She is an athlete and remained so during her pregnancy. One of the comments said something like "I hope the baby doesn't have brain damage from all the bouncing." Are you freaking kidding me?!?

Feeling your ovaries is very common during ovulation, seeing your eggs move makes you a freak of nature and no doctor would just be like "okay, that's cool."

Once my mom came and pulled us out of school unexpectedly to take us to Six Flags. To this day it is one of my favorite memories of my childhood. - Not helping you AT ALL Leslie

  • Leslie - Yes, I read it wrong and fixed it.   Still awesome. :)

    Nesties,

I think Dr. Pepper Ten's marketing campaign targeting "men only" is pretty brilliant.  That actually makes me want to try it all the more.

    -Curious Nestie

  • Dear Chelsea,

I kind of agree with Leslie. I got out of school once the day after the Garth Brooks concert :) then once when we had family in town from Switzerland. Also, my mom picked me up early from school on my 16th birthday to take me to get my license. Her idea :) So is it irresponsible? Maybe a little. But not at all unreasonable (and actually pretty cool) to want to do it.

    Dear Fair,

I'll see you in a few hours! So excited!

I haven't seen any of the marketing for it, but I tried one yesterday. It occurred to me that I haven't had a regular Dr. Pepper in so long, I don't know if it tastes more like it or not. I think I'll stick to my good ol' Diet D.P.

My mom did something similar for me, with a LeeAnn Rimes concert back in the day. Mack and I are discussing it. If Dorothy wakes up from her nap by noon, I think I'm doing it. Today, I'd rather be a fun mom away from the office than a responsible parent with respect for the daily grind of education. :)

  • I'm having the hardest time focusing on work.  I'm just drained... I always get this way this time of year though.  I feel like I need some creativity in my life to get me through the deadline, but don't have time for any projects.  I had a good dose of retail therapy on Sunday, but its effects have already worn off.  (I did really good though - 10 new shirts for $130, and some in smaller sizes than normal!)  Just 3.5 more days........... sigh.
  • Dear Leslie, the GP board is whack.

Dear Nesties, please don't follow me on Pininterest.  I can't make heads or tails of it.  How do I even get started?  Do I have to install that pin button--how the heck do I do anything?  I am clueless to say the least.

Dear Crystal, your fashion board on Pininterest is the bomb.  If I could afford it, I would hire you as my personal stylist.

Dear Rangers, please win the next 2 games, my heart can't take much more.

Her "I'm taking my ball and going home" post.

I love this.  She was on my Month board.

  • Speaking of thank-you cards

Ok - I am confused.  We sent cards out at the end of April.  APRIL.  In the last few weeks, I've been asked by a couple people if we sent them... yes, we did.  Now, I've been asking around and NO ONE received their thank you cards.  And it's October.  I dropped them at a "Pack and Ship" place by my house... I called them, and they don't have them.

Where the heck are my cards?  We look like total a-holes!  What do I do?  Re-send?  Explain what happened and offer apologies?  Ugh.
