Kitchen sink clog

So I've tried a few things to clean out my drains in my kitchen sink but nothing seems to work. The water stands to long when I'm even jsut rinsing the dishes. Does anyone know of a product or trick I could use to get that water flowing?

Re: Kitchen sink clog

  • Pour a generous amount of baking soda down the drain. Then boil water while the baking soda has a chance to work.

Pour the boiling water down the drain and leave it alone for 20 minutes. Follow with one cup of bleach .

  • I've tried all of the other suggestions, but I also found a product at Lowe's called Enforcer hair clog remover. We recently had a severely clogged drain in our laundry room and used it and it worked like a charm. I'd give that a try, but wouldn't use it too often. Drain cleaning chemicals can mess up your pipes, but I find that using it once in a blue moon is cheaper than having to call a plumber when the other options don't work for a smallish clog.
