Hi ladies,
Well, after a day of recovering, I managed to blog about our housewarming party (link in sig). Overall, it was a really nice day. We had about 50 people come throughout the three hour window. My mom bought me my first piece of entertaining dishware (I normally just borrow hers, which you'll see in the pictures if you look at the blog).
The Keurig went over fine. I tried to borrow one, but everyone I asked only had a Keurig, so it wasn't really an option (and I didn't want to buy one), nor was it a problem since most everyone knew how to use it.
We put Pixar movies on the TV which ended up being brilliant since 10 of the 50 people were under age 10. They were either sitting and watching the movies or they were playing in our unlandscaped dirt backyard, so they were happy.
At one point we had almost 35 people in our Great Room, and they all fit comfortably! This made me super excited to host more parties in the future...just not any time soon. We need to recover.
Re: Housewarming Party Recap
Looks like it went well! Your setup's pretty with the clean white and brightly colored foods.
And your mom giving you a platter's a really sweet housewarming gift - you can continue to have a warm house with all the friends you'll have over

Looks very nice. Very nice.
I guess if nobody has a coffee pot to borrow everyone would know how to use a kuerig;) My family would stare at it. Beat on it a bit. Then dump there Jameson's in a cup and get some ice instead.
You made me laugh in class. Bad 6. (Nope, not possible that it's bad TarHeels for nesting during the most boring lecture of my life

Haha. Yeah, when I called both sets of grandparents and they responded with "Honey, don't you have a Keurig? We just use a Keurig," I figured I'd be okay. But then, my family is full of Costco-hoarders, so the second Costco started carrying Keurig, everyone bought one (or quickly recieved one as a gift).
Looks like everything turned out great! Thanks so much for posting pics. We're having a housewarming in a few weeks and this confirms that doing small bites along with desserts will be just fine:-)
Great Job
