I know you're running the MCM this year, and I think you said your husband is running, too. I'm wondering how you've managed to do your training runs with 2 young kids. I think DH and I want to try to do the MCM again next year, but I have no idea how we'd do our long runs, unless I run on Saturday and he runs on Sunday, or something like that.
Re: *** kafunder ***
Yup, we're both running MCM. For training, we've been really lax this year, so it will be a VERY slow run (bedrest, pregnancy, and raising twins have taken a toll on any speed I previously had).
During the week, we take turns running on our treadmill in our basement either in the morning before the LOs wake up (so we get up at 4:30am) or at night after they go to bed at 6:45pm.
On the weekends, we're members of a running group that meets in Rosslyn. DH's parents live close to there, so we drop the LOs off on Saturday AMs with his mom while we go on our long run. Our runs start at 6-7am, so we're usually done by 9am or so, and then we pick up the LOs. If we didn't have the ability to do this, we'd probably split it up like you mentioned--where I run one day and DH runs the other day.
