Coming to Boston-where to eat?!? Any? North end?

Hi! I will be traveling to Boston on Friday, and be here for a few days( spending a day in Salem) . I was hoping the local board could help me with where to dine! ( local favorites and just not over popular blah food) . Im looking for breakfast/brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert recs PLEASE! Friday morning we get in at 10am, so perfect time to catch a good meal!! I want to also eat in the north end- but looking on websites, there are alot to choose from! We are also going to go into Chinatown for some exploring/eating ;) oh, price point! Nothing super $$$, Thank you VERY much!! Brittany

  • I already sent you all my recs in your post on the Travel board.  I guess for desserts I'd add Finale and for chocolate you have to go to Burdick in Harvard Square.

Whenever we want grab a meal while coming from the airport, we go to Hong Kong Eatery in Chinatown.  It's casual, HK-style, comfort food.

Everything else you're looking for I think I already covered.

    Enjoy your visit!

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • My favorite North End restaurant is Ristorante Saraceno's. But if you're bring LO, I'd recommend Piccolo Venenzia.

  • If you're going to be in Salem, I highly suggest at least grabbing a beer at the Salem Beer works...you have to try the Pumpkinhead ale...it's TDF!

     ...they also have fried pickles.

  • For breakfast, try the Paramount on Charles Street (Beacon Hill section).  It gets really crowded on weekends, though, so don't be alarmed if there's a line out the door.
