Wednesday randoms, not Tuesday, YAY!
Re: Wednesday randoms, not Tuesday, YAY!
So exciting!
Yay! C25K. I've looked into that and I'm still on the couch part.
I've already done with grocery shopping and will be making Chicken Parm in the crock pot tonight.
VP Biden is in town today and the Secret Service stopped by the office last week to scope out the area and let us know not to be alarmed by men on the roof with guns. Awesome.
We started looking for a new office location. Being downtown is great...if you work normal business hours and we don't. Parking has been a huge issue even with our parking pass. Being on the 4th floor doesn't get a lot of traffic (duh!) and the building isn't in the best of shape for our needs. The floor hasn't been maintained the best way. Bummer b/c it is a really cool spot. We are kind of think that maybe we should be looking in the east hill / east town area. We figure a higher ratio of mac cliental and better walking traffic for the public internet stations that we are configuring. Location Location Location is DH point of view and I'm like price price price.
Oh my gosh...lol. I don't know why I'm behind. Hahah!
LOL. I love that.
Yay on your C25K progress! You're going to crush that 5K.
I've been off this week too on the days.
And GO TIGERS. Finally their bats started working.
Isn't that the best feeling?!
You've totally got this!
Totally just read that as "finally there BRATS started working." Um maybe I should eat breakfast now.
Holy crap! That'd be freaky. I've been totally MIA lately. I've been so busy with work and I'm starting to think I will need to go to part-time after this baby. DH even wants to move to Lansing so he is closer to work and wants me to quit my job. I think I'm the only mom in the world who wouldn't want that and I feel awful. I love my job, but I do hate DH not getting home until 6/6:30 at night every night. =(
On another stressful note, our poor boxer tried to escape from his cage over the weekend and got stuck halfway out. He had some lacerations that they looked at at the ER vet on Sunday and told us to keep an eye on. Its been looking worse every day and I brought him to our regular vet yesterday because it looked really bad when I got home. He has to have the wound cleaned out, the dead tissue removed and stitched back up this morning. =( He will probably have to have a drain placed, too (yuck!). Poor buddy. I have my phone sitting next to me all day today to get the call after his surgery. I'm wishing I had bought that dog insurance right now.
Maybe you'd be able to get a job in Lansing too eventually? I don't think you should feel bad AT ALL for not wanting to be a SAHM, it's not for everyone and that's okay.
I'm so sorry to hear about your pup too - I hope all goes well with the surgery.
I completely agree with the bolded. It's definitely not for me (unless I was a millionaire, which I'm obviously not.
)
And I also hope your dog's surgery goes ok!
I need to restart the C25K. Seems like every time I start, I end up going on a business trip and just don't feel like dealing with packing running shoes, clothes, finding a treadmill or trail, etc. etc. so I stop and it's so hard to get started again.
I have some sort of cough/cold thing going on. I got some yummy tea, tinctures, and soup from my herbalist and I'm feeling a little better but now my husband is getting it.
I was worried about this too, because we'll be in FL for 1 week while I'm training. I've decided that I'm going to force myself to run, because I can't afford to miss out on that week of training.
Dedicating myself to do the 5k on Nov 5 is definitely helping with keeing me motivated. That and I can tell the my "love handles" are getting smaller.
I am one of the most impatient people ever.
They stopped taking applicants for the job opening that I want yesterday, but I want to know when my interview is now! Ugh.
I need to get some patience!
Wow! Where is the WS this year?
AWESOME!
Go Tigers!
WS is played at the ballparks of the teams involved. Since the NL won the All Star Game, they have home field advantage. So games 1,2, 6 and 7 are played at the NL team's stadium and games 3, 4, 5 are played a the AL team's stadium.
So jealous!
May I ask how much his tickets were (and for where in the park)? If you'd rather not share, that's cool. I'm just curious what the going rate is these days.
What a game!! Go Tigers!
Gotcha. And I've revealed myself as a baseball idiot.
My parents would be so ashamed!
They were ~$250 each and I believe in one of the upper sections, but I'm not sure which one. We will most likely offer 2 tickets to our friends, but if nobody wants to buy them from us, I believe we could stub hub them and pay for our own tickets.
But really, I don't want to think about it too much. :-) We need to win 3 more games, and then I'll start thinking about it.
Not a baseball idiot at all. :-) Every sport seems to be a little different and it totally gets confusing.
Now football - between the different rules for playoff games vs. regular games, and NFL vs. college - half the time I have no idea what's going on. ;-)

Glad you don't have to wait!
Good Luck!!!
