DH needs to have a suspicious looking mole checked out. If you have a dermatologist you like in the area please rec them, thanks!
Re: Dermatologist Rec?
Anders Dermatology is awesome.
I see Ana Thompson there, but there are a couple other male doctors in the practice.
I go to Anders Dermatology (one derm there has fellowship training in the treatment of skin cancers). I see Dr. Anders and am quite happy with the practice. They weren't the ones who diagnosed my melanoma or any of that, but when I moved in with DH and started working in Toledo, I switched to that practice from one in Monroe. I also have a former co-worker, also had melanoma who went to this practice since initial diagnosis and she was quite happy with them.
Word of warning, quite often they are booked a couple of months out. However, I am not sure, but it is possible they could make an exception when it comes to suspicious moles or thigns of that nature.
I think he is good.
Whatever you do, do not go to Dr. Handler. I went to him in HS through college because my aunt recommended him. He isn't a bad dermatologist but he is a jerk, he refuses to write prescriptions for generics, even if it comes in generic he always writes DAW and the last time I went to him was maybe 8 years ago, I had shitty insurance and he flat out told me no about writing my scripts for generics. I couldn't afford the non-generic versions of anything because my prescription coverage was terrible, I took the scripts to the pharmacy anyways. $800...I couldn't even get them filled. Then I started going to Dr. Issaacson and then he cut way back on his days so that is when I found Ana Thompson.
I have went to him twice for acne and I cannot stand him. He talked to me like I was 5 years old. I do not recommend him at all, sorry!
