PW: Trying to liven it up in here
I am almost done with my work. This week is seeming soooo long and the slow board isn't helping.
Tell us something you believe that you know can be controversial. Let's keep it civil but have some healthy debate.
I'm guessing this post will get maybe 3 replies, but it's worth a try.

How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

Ok ... I guess this could be considered controversial.
Do you think it's appropriate to come to work when you are deathly sick and sit in close proximity to other coworkers? (ie, there are usually 3-4 people in my cubicle area on any given day so germs are passed easily through the air).

Not ok. Stay home if you are contagious.
No. I will come in if I have a cold, but I'll stay at my desk. We had coworkers coming in with bronchitis a while ago and I was not happy.

The same puking coworker is always applying some sort of scented lotion. I told her that it bothers me (my exact words: "You know, you're killing me with that lotion"). She laughed and proceeded to slather it on.

Hehe. You're right. I consider myself a Christian, but I also am pro-choice and 100% for gay marriage. This seems to be a pretty rare combination and although it may not be too controversial on this board, it would be elsewhere.
Even more controversial probably? I don't think people on public assistance should have kids. I have a cousin who has one kid, posts on Facebook about her food stamps, and just got pregnant again...on purpose. If you can't support the family you have, why are you having more kids?
To get more money, obviously.

Ain't that the truth. My sister complained that her assistance went down when her rent went down. Uhh....
Here's something that some would prob consider controversial:
People who work/hold jobs, are still living in "poverty", but make too much to get government assistance. At least these people are trying, but they still can't get their heads above water. Do you think the government should assist?

I guess it depends on what you define poverty as. I certainly think there are reasons for assistance and if you are trying to make it, but you lost your job, got hurt, etc, I think some assistance is great.
