Today:
1. Mammogram at 8:30am, found more calcifications, now in the right breast. (Those of you who have known me for a while may recall the biopsies on the left a few years ago.) So, a visit to "my" breast surgeon tomorrow to discuss when -- not if - this will take place.
2. New maids came today -- started to clean the master bath and there is water pouring out of my kitchen ceiling now. John had fixed this a few years ago and we've not had a problem. So later today I will be emptying those cabinets (all wine glasses -- may have to fill one or two in the process) so we can take the cabinet down tonight and rip the ceiling down and find the problem and cry.
3. I don't have a third yet, but I'm sure it's coming. It's only 11:30am.
Re: WTF Wednesday?!
Your day sounds amazing
WTF boss. When you're away, WE CAN HANDLE IT. You're not that necessary, I know you like to think you are, but you're not. STOP CALLING EVERY FVCKING 30 MINUTES. Also, if you remember something, write it down. I really don't have time (or patience) to answer your calls when you think of something.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
My boss does the same exact thing.
My WTF is I just found a couple members of my division got "creative" and xeroxed a blank overtime authorization form w/ an approving officials signature on it multiple times and have been using it for I dunno how long at this point. They apparently don't realize that could really get me in trouble with the GAO and the IG's office. They need a swift kick in the balls.
thanks, QS -- and I know, right? I keep tearing up... I just can't believe this is all happening again. effity eff eff eff.
"What is a week-end?"
WTF guys who came today to fix our walls and begin our rebuild after our neighbors house flooded mine back in August (yup still living without walls, floor in a 3rd of my house) but anways, shows up today without the proper supplies...they were able to work for 2 hours then "call it a day" they will be back tomorrow with the correct supplies...
keep in mind there was a VERY specific estimate adn such done for this so I am sure it is written in there what they needed
Ugh, so sorry. I had calcifications and a biopsy done with I was 30. I was a solid 30 years younger than anyone else in the waiting room, and I kept thinking, "I'm way too young to be dealing with this sh!t!"
And that biopsy! Is there anything less dignified than lying face down on a table that is like 5 feet in the air with your breast hanging through a hole while the doctor and the nurse are underneath you? I think not.
Best wishes for a good outcome.
thanks so much -- and you KNOW that procedure was developed by a man! the only thing that got me through the last time was a Valium bc I knew what the hollow needle was going to do! this time, allegedly, it will be a needle biopsy so I don't have to have the wire hanging out of my boob for a few hours. But still. Ugh.
and .. I am so sorry you had to deal with this at your age. I'm a good deal older -- which doesn't make it better, as much as I guess slightly more expected. You are very brave!
"What is a week-end?"
ugh! sorry pam, lots of good thoughts that all is ok. *hugs*
WTF to bank of america and all their fees!! as soon as my checks from ING are here and i can start switching accounts over, i am done with them!!
Aw, thanks. I don't feel brave, I reserve that for my mom, who has had breast cancer three times. She was first diagnosed at 40, so I've been having mammograms since 30 because they wanted me in when I was 10 years younger than my mother's diagnosis.
I've heard the needle biopsy is better than the hollow needle. But, they both suck. And stressful, too! The waiting for results is the worst part, I think. I had to wait over Christmas. That was a fun holiday.
Seriously. What the friggin frack? Good luck, Pam.
Ditto QueSrah... I don't have any WTFs today so I give my WTF to the universe for Pam's WTFs. Boooo. And I give you this:
I'm sorry, Pam! good luck!!
