Good morning Nesties!

I was so tired yesterday that I just shoveled some cereal in my mouth for dinner. H was playing a game on his PC, so I went in his office and fwumped on the futon to be near him...and ended up dozing off. I woke up and decided to go get ready for bed. Of course, then I couldn't sleep, but I just lay there and read until I was finally sleepy again.

Hopefully I'll have more energy tonight! I need to invent a pattern for H's Lederhosn so that I can get that sewn! And rough out the pattern for my blouse to wear with my dirndl.

Good morning!  I was lucky and didn't get caught in any of the downpour spells yesterday, man, that weather was wacky.

Today I'm plotting out ways to "stick it" to one of our Sr. VPs for Duck/Husky week (Nov. 5th), as I am a Husky and he a Duck.  A lot of stuff drives me crazy at work, but I love how relaxed and football crazed we are too.  I'm thinking of playing "Bow Down to WA" whenever he crosses through the lobby, and decorating the front of his fancy double office doors with purple and gold wrapping paper and/or streamers......  So many decisions

My favorite engineer's last day is tomorrow - so I'm having to go over the exit checklist. I think it sucks. Moral around here isn't going to be the greatest. One of the other jr. engineers is leaving in 2 weeks. There goes 20% of our staff and most of the fun ones.

K -- : (  Will these two be replaced anytime soon?  Maybe you could help set a tone of fun with a welcoming party or a halloween party or something?  Or HH w/everyone?

KST --  Ohmygosh, i slept so badly last night too.  I didn't fall asleep until after two and then had a really bad nightmare.  Better sleep tonight

Uhm, so one of the Halloween parties we are going to is a friends birthday party that is always a Halloween/costume party.  I didn't actually read the invitation (besides date/time/location) until today, and it's themed.  So we need new costumes   But it's a good party and it'll be fun.

They're trying to fill at least one of the positions. I think my biggest issue is the two leaving are around my age. Which leaves one other near my age then all the principals who are stuck in their ways. I'll try to do something depending on who comes on board.

Morning! I just got back from my run and trip to the library. They had Divergent and The Hunger Games on hold for me. Yay for reading!

H woke up sick this morning. Poor guy is burning the candle at both ends and needs some sleep. I went and got him orange juice, tea, soup and cough drops from the store and sent him to school.

I don't know.  The theme will be cool and make for pretty awesome pictures, but on such a tiny budget as i can put toward halloween costumes it will be tough since nothing from that era is available at thrift stores.  I might get an 80s dress (one of the frumpy dresses w/drop waist) and alter it, add some strands of white mardi gras beads as "pearl" necklaces.  I think dh is going to look for a pinstripe vest to wear with one of his suits, or maybe buy a thriftstore pinstripe suit.  I'll let you know what we come up with
